Must know
  • Ice sheets (Settings → Club Settings → Ice sheets) are what draws, Today’s Ice columns and the TV boards use.
  • Facilities and their Spaces (My Organization → Facilities) are location records — address, hours, equipment, staff notes. A space is not what members book.
  • Bookable venues (Registrations → Venues & Rentals) are what members rent. A venue can be tied to a sheet with Ice sheet position (optional) so its bookings appear in the right Today’s Ice column.
  • Each space has an Access (Public, Private, or the club-wide setting) and an Order, editable in both views. A venue linked to a space takes its Access: a private space hides the venue’s bookings from the public. See Who can see a venue’s bookings?.
  • Also available in the classic view: the spaces appear as CCM’s Facility Calendar - Resources list, with New, Edit, Publish, Unpublish and Delete, CCM’s Sort Table By and 20 resources a page.
  • A club migrated from CCM finds each CCM resource here as a space, under one facility named after the club.
CCM’s com_facilitycalendar had one idea of a “resource”. Uplifter Curling separates three things, and knowing which is which saves confusion: Adding a facility. On My Organization → Facilities click Add Facility. The Add New Facility sheet asks for Facility Name (required), Street Address, City, Province/State, Postal Code, Country, Phone, Email, Square Footage, Max Capacity, Description, Status (Active / Inactive / Maintenance) and Default Facility. The default facility’s address, phone and email are what your public website footer shows. Inside a facility. Tabs are Overview, Activity, Spaces, Equipment, Staff and Notes. Add Space takes a Space Name (for example “Sheet A”), and each space has Availability Hours. Operating hours for the building are edited on the Overview under Operating hours → Edit hours. Note that My Organization → Schedules is staff shift scheduling, not opening hours. Access and Order. Add Space and a space’s edit dialog both have Access — Club-wide setting, Public or Private — and Order. A space left on Club-wide setting follows Show sheets publicly under Club Settings → Ice sheets; a space with its own value shows a Public or Private badge on its card. Order sets where the space lists: lower numbers first, and a blank order lists after the ordered ones, by name. Access decides who can see the bookings of any venue linked to this space, through the Resource picker on the venue form. A private space’s venue is hidden from the public on the club site, while members, guardians and staff still see it. A space with no venue linked to it is not shown on the club site, so its Access has no effect there. See Who can see a venue’s bookings?.

The classic Resources list

In the classic view, My Organization → Facilities is CCM’s Facility Calendar - Resources screen: every space, grouped under its facility, with ID, Status, Name and Access columns.
  • New or clicking a name opens the resource form: name, capacity, Published, Access (Club setting, Public or Private), Ordering (lower numbers list first) and description. Save or Save & Close.
  • Sort Table By — Name (the default), Ordering, Status, Access or ID — with Ascending or Descending.
  • The number-of-items box offers 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 50, 100 or All; 20 is the default, with a pager (Prev, Next, Page 1 of 2) when there are more.
  • ID is the resource’s place in the club’s own order, so it stays put when you re-sort. A resource on Club setting prints the club’s current value in the Access column.
  • Access decides whether the public sees the bookings of a venue linked to the resource. The form’s hint says: “Who can see this resource. Leave it on the club setting to follow the one switch in Club settings.”
  • Import Sheets from Curling Club Manager has nothing to do here: your ice sheets are already club settings.

Resources from a CCM import

A migrated club’s CCM resources arrive twice, once as each role needs them: as a space on this screen (under one facility named after the club, with CCM’s published state, access and order — CCM’s Registered or Special access reads Private), and as a bookable venue for the calendar and rentals. The import links each venue to its space, so the space’s Access decides who sees the venue’s bookings, as CCM’s resource access did. They are still separate records: renaming or unpublishing a resource here does not rename or close its calendar venue, so change both if you need to. Today’s Ice still shows each resource as one column. Related: Who can see a venue’s bookings? · How do I set up ice sheets? · How do I create a bookable venue? · What is Today’s Ice?
