Must know
  • A league is a program of type League (teams, draws, standings). Curlers register for the whole season, are placed on teams, and play a generated draw schedule that feeds standings.
  • Anyone with full admin rights, a Curling League Admin access level naming this league, or a manager added on the league’s Overview tab can run it. Deleting a league needs the delete permission that only administrators hold.
  • Also available in the classic view: the Leagues Listing and each league’s screens (League Edit, Games, Points, rounds, divisions, Teams, subs) and the club’s Sheet Listing reproduce CCM’s admin section on the same web addresses.
Uplifter Curling has three kinds of program. When you add one, the Type field offers League (teams, draws, standings), Program (clinic, learn-to-curl, …) and — when a superadmin has enabled Bonspiels for your club — Bonspiel (teams enter as units, knockout draw). Leagues are what this hub is about; clinics and learn-to-curl sessions are plain programs; bonspiels have their own hub. Leagues live under Registrations → Leagues, which lists only programs of the league type and has an Add League button. Opening a league shows its tabs in this order: Overview, Members, Games, Transactions (hidden when the league is free), Attendance, Waitlist, Registrations, Teams, Draws, Standings, League Setup and — when the league’s spares list is on — a Subs tab (labelled Spares if your club uses that word). A jitney league (available when a superadmin enables Jitney Leagues) has no Teams tab; it has a Jitney tab after League Setup for building each night’s teams instead. The header offers Duplicate, Copy to next season and Settings, and its back arrow returns to Leagues (a program returns to Programs, a bonspiel to the bonspiel list), even when you opened the league from a bookmark. Two tabs deserve a warning because their names mislead. Games lists the weekly sessions created from the schedule patterns in the league wizard; it is not the draw schedule. The draw schedule — who plays whom, on which sheet, at what time — is on Draws. See What is the difference between the Games tab and league sessions?. In the classic view the left menu reads Home · Leagues · Games · Points · Rounds · Divisions · Teams · Sheets · Membership Types · Subs · Volunteer Roles · Volunteers · Reports · Maintenance, exactly as CCM did. As in CCM, Games, Points, Rounds, Divisions, Teams and Subs are league-scoped: clicked from Home or the Leagues Listing before you have opened a league, each shows its own Select a League screen; once you have been in a league they open that league again. Their Select a League dropdown switches the same screen to another league. Sheets is club-wide and opens the Sheet Listing directly.
