Must know
  • A League Manager runs specific leagues. For each league they are named on they can see who is registered, create teams, build and adjust the schedule, enter and correct results, read the sub list and email the league’s members.
  • The access is per league. Other leagues, club finances, member records, membership types and the club-wide email tool stay out of reach.
  • This matches CCM’s Curling League Admin group — with one deliberate difference: here a convenor can see their own league’s sub list.
In CCM a league admin was a Joomla group with grants inside com_curling: leagues, games, points, rounds, divisions, teams and reports, and explicit denials for sheets, membership types, subs, volunteer roles and maintenance. Uplifter Curling reproduces that intent as the Curling League Admin access level — described in the staff screen as Runs league play for the leagues you name: the people registered, teams, draws, results, standings, and email to that league’s members. Assign the leagues this person looks after; they see nothing outside them. Two things exceed CCM on purpose. First, email: CCM had no in-league email at all, so email the league is new. Second, subs: the product owner decided a convenor should read (and prune) the sub list of the leagues they run, because the member-facing Sub Lists page already shows it to every signed-in member and the convenor is the person phoning for a fourth. What the role never gets: deleting a league, the club-wide campaign email, invoices and payouts, editing member records outside the league, staff administration, sheets and membership types.
