Must know
  • Options live in the form builder’s Membership options step: club-wide select questions that can charge a Fee. Answers are stored with the registration.
  • Custom questions live under Members → Questions (the Custom Information feature, CCM parity): typed, scoped to specific programs, memberships or seasons, can expire, and show on the member’s Custom Info profile tab.
  • In the wizard, the Additional questions step only lists custom questions — “You’ll answer these during checkout…”. The answers are collected at checkout per curler; proxy registration collects them in the wizard. A club with no custom questions gets no Additional questions step at all.
Use an option when every registrant should see the same short choice and it may cost money: “Do you require a locker for the year?” → Yes charges the locker Fee. Options are one dropdown per question, comma-separated choices, and cannot be limited to one league. Use a custom question when the question depends on what is being bought, needs a richer answer type, or should be kept on the profile. Custom questions offer eight answer types — Number, Yes / No (optionally requiring a signature when “Yes”), Signature, Short Text, Long Text, Image Upload, Dropdown and Date — a Required question switch, a Validity Period (indefinite or expiring after a set number of days) and a Scope (Programs, Events, Memberships, Passes — all or specific, or by season). Six custom-question types (all except Signature and Image Upload) can also be placed directly on Step 1 through the Club question tab, which is how CCM’s “How did you hear about us?” is asked. A third kind, club fields, lives on the member’s own record rather than on a registration: see How do I add my own profile fields?. Turning on a club field’s Registration switch puts it on Step 1 as well. Related: How do I add options with fees? · How do I add custom questions? · How do I choose the fields on Step 1?
