Must know
  • Seeing the listing and downloading it needs volunteers.view; adding or removing a volunteer needs volunteers.manage.
  • Staff can add any member to any role. With no sub-role picked, it records the member’s interest in the role (the only way staff can put someone on an interest-only role). With a sub-role picked, it signs them up for that shift, and a full shift is refused.
  • The phone columns come from each member’s own profile: Home (or, if blank, the phone they log in with), Work with its extension, and Cell.
1

Open the listing

Go to Members → Volunteers and click the Listing tab. The columns follow the classic listing, in CCM’s order: Member name, Home phone, Work phone, Cell phone, Email, Role with a badge (interested, signed up, worked or not available), When (the sub-role, with its time underneath) and Comment. Use Filter by volunteer role to see one role, or All volunteer roles.
2

Add a volunteer

Click Add volunteer. In Add a volunteer, pick the Volunteer role. If the role has shifts, a Sub-role select appears listing each open shift with its time and how many spots are left; leave it on None — interested in the role to record an interest instead. Search for the Member by name or email, add a Comment if you like, and click Add. The page confirms Volunteer added.
3

Remove a row

Remove takes a member off: an interest is cleared, a shift sign-up is cancelled. A shift already marked worked has no Remove.
4

Download it

Click Export to Excel. The spreadsheet holds the rows on screen, so the role filter applies, with CCM’s columns: Member Name, Home Phone, Work Phone, Cell Phone, Email, Role, Task, When, Comment and Status. Times are on the club’s clock.
In the classic view the same screen is Volunteer Listing. Pick a role in Select a Volunteer Role, and | Extract to Excel downloads the same file. New opens CCM’s form: Member Name, Volunteer Role, an optional Volunteer Sub-Role and Comment, then Save. Tick rows and click Delete to remove them. Adding a member to a shift here uses the same capacity check as the shift’s Assign button: a full shift reads This shift is full, and someone already on it reads This member is already signed up. As with Assign, the role’s certification requirement is not checked when staff add someone.
