Must know
  • Show on sign-up decides whether the signup wizard offers a type. Turn it off to keep a type such as Honorary or Life assignable by staff but off the wizard. Hiding a type does not unpublish it, so the people who hold it keep it.
  • A type is on sign-up only when the switch is on and it has a published term whose dates include today.
  • Order sets the order types are listed in, in the admin list and in the signup wizard. A blank Order lists the type after the ordered ones, alphabetically.
1

Open the type's Details

Go to Members → Memberships, open the type’s actions menu → Manage, and click the Details tab.
2

Set Show on sign-up and Order

Switch Show on sign-up on or off, and type a whole number in Order (or clear it). The same tab edits the name and the description.
3

Save

Click Save. The toast reads Membership details saved, and the cards behind the sheet re-sort. A hidden type’s card shows a Hidden from sign-up badge.
A new type gets the same switch on Create Membership Group → Details; it starts on. Once your club has given any type an Order, a new type gets the next number, so it lists last. Until then the list stays alphabetical.

In the classic view

Membership Types shows CCM’s columns: Name, Price, Show On Sign-up, Order and Published.
  • Show On Sign-up. Open the type and tick or untick Show On Sign-Up, then Save & Close. The list icon turns grey for a hidden type; Published stays as it was. If the box is ticked but the type has no published term covering today, the form says Not on sign-up yet: it also needs a published membership term whose dates include today.
  • Order. Type a number into a row’s Order box and press Tab or Enter. It saves at once with Updated Membership Types Order, and the list re-sorts. Clear the box to send the type back to the alphabetical tail.
Both views write the same setting, so a change in one shows in the other.

Descriptions

The description editor is a rich-text editor in both views, so bold text, lists and links show in the signup wizard as you wrote them. A description imported from CCM opens with its formatting; an older plain-text description opens as one paragraph per line. The cards in the new look show a one-line plain preview. For a migrated club, each type’s Show On Sign-up and Order come across from CCM.
