Must know
  • Announcements are always available; no feature switch is needed. Creating or editing one needs the Send Communication permission, and seeing the list (drafts and archived ones included) needs View Communication or Send Communication.
  • Publishing an announcement sends no email or text. It appears in the bell icon members see in the header of the members’ area, the League Portal and your public club website.
  • There is no “pin” or expiry control. Higher Priority announcements sort to the top of the bell; Archive removes one from view.
1

Start a new announcement

Go to Communication → Announcements and click New Announcement. The Create Announcement dialog opens (“Compose a new announcement to share with your audience.”).
2

Write it and pick who sees it

Enter a Title and the Content (bold, italic, lists and alignment are available). Choose the Audience: All Members, Guardians (every account that holds a curler profile, their own or a child’s), Program or — when the Events feature is on — Event. Picking Program adds a Program select offering All Program Registrants or one program; only accounts with a curler registered there will see it.
3

Set priority and status

Choose a Priority (Low, Normal, High, Urgent) and a Status: Draft to keep working on it, Publish Now to release it, or Archived. Click Create Announcement.
Members see a badge on the bell and a panel headed Announcements with a Mark all read button; when nothing is new it reads You’re all caught up! Visitors to your public site who are not club members see only All Members announcements. From the list you can filter by All Statuses, Draft, Published or Archived, and each row’s menu offers Edit, Publish (drafts), Archive (published) and Delete.
