Must know
  • Members tick interests on your site’s Volunteer page under What would you help with?. Members always use the new-look page; the classic view is for staff only.
  • Staff can record an interest for a member: Members → Volunteers → Listing → Add volunteer, with no sub-role picked.
  • The listing (both views) shows each member’s Home, Work and Cell phones from their profile, and downloads to Excel with the role filter applied.
In the new view, open Members → Volunteers → Roles. The Interested members column lists each member who said yes to that role, with their comment. Use it when you need hands for a job that has no fixed shift — a bonspiel weekend, the spring clean — and then either phone them or post a shift and Assign them (interested members are listed first in the Assign dialog). For phone numbers and a download, use the Listing tab: filter by role, read the interested rows, and click Export to Excel. See How do I add a volunteer or export the volunteer listing?. In the classic view the Volunteer Listing screen reproduces CCM’s: filter by Select a Volunteer Role, with columns Member Name, Home Phone, Work Phone, Cell Phone, Email, Role, When and Comment, and | Extract to Excel for the download. New adds a volunteer; Delete clears the ticked rows. For season-wide lists use Reports → Club reports → Volunteer Reports: Volunteer Hours, Volunteer Optout (members who have not selected anything) and No Volunteer Selections.
