Must know
  • Your public site lives at your-subdomain plus the platform suffix (for example curl-vegas.uplifter-curling.com). You pick the subdomain under Website → General.
  • Every website screen needs the website.edit permission. Curling Administrators have it, and so does the Curling Communications starter access level.
  • The website builder is only in the new view. It stays in the sidebar when you use the classic view, but every website screen opens in the new look.
  • Save Changes stores your settings; Go Live is what makes the site visible. Until you go live, every public address returns “not found”.
  • A migrated club whose site is being served as a frozen copy of its old website sees only General and Form Submissions here until it switches to the builder.
The website builder is the part of the dashboard that runs your club’s public website. For a club moving off Curling Club Manager it takes over from the Joomla site: pages, menus, documents, photo galleries, newsletters, news posts and sponsors all live here, and the importer carries your old content into it. The Website section of the sidebar has one screen per job:
  • General — your web address, branding (colours, logo, favicon), the hero banner on the built-in home page, information boxes, contact and social links, and the banner and sidebar touts. Migrated clubs also see the import checklist here.
  • Pages — switches for the built-in sections (Programs, Calendar, Contact, Facilities, Team, News and so on).
  • Club Pages — free-form pages you build from blocks, published at /pages/your-slug.
  • Form Submissions — enquiries sent from any form block on your pages.
  • Site Menu, Site Sidebar, Header & Home, Templates, Theme — how the site is arranged and drawn.
  • Documents, Photo Galleries, Media Library, Newsletters, News & Articles, Sponsors & Alerts, Team — the content that fills it.
While your site is a frozen copy of your old website, every screen except General and Form Submissions is hidden; see How do I switch from the frozen copy to the website builder?. Saving any of these updates the public site straight away; there is no separate “deploy” step. The one exception is publishing itself: the site is hidden from visitors until you press Go Live on the General screen.
