Must know
  • Communication → Transactional Emails is always available. Saving a template needs the Send Communication permission.
  • Seven templates are editable; a template you leave untouched uses the built-in default (badge Default; edited ones show Customized).
  • Transactional emails ignore opt-outs and never use broadcast credits — they are receipts and confirmations, not marketing.
  • Password-reset, invitation and other system emails are not on this page.
  • The receiptUrl in Order submitted and Order paid emails is a private link that opens the receipt without signing in for 90 days. After that, or for links in emails sent before 1 October 2026, the member signs in to open it. The default wording says so: the link works for 90 days, then sign in. A template your club customized earlier keeps its own wording; if it promises the link works at any time, edit it or click Reset to default.
The page reads “Customize the automatic emails your club sends for orders, payments, and refunds. Leave one untouched to use the built-in default.” The templates:
1

Edit the template

On the template’s card change the Subject and the Body (HTML). The Available variables list shows the merge fields for that template — for example name, organizationName, reference, total and receiptUrl on the order emails, or venueName, bookingTitle, startDateTime and holderName on booking emails. A placeholder the template does not know is removed when the email is sent.
2

Preview and save

Click Preview to see it rendered, then Save. To go back to the stock wording click Reset to default — the toast confirms “Reset “{label}” to default”.
