Must know
- Everything on this page is on the product today. Modules marked available when enabled exist but ship switched off for a club that came from CCM; a superadmin turns one on under Settings → Features when the club asks.
- The league engine, the signup wizard, subs, free agents, member search and the members’ area are never switched off — they are the product.
Leagues, draws and games
- Leagues with divisions (or pools), sessions (Fall, Winter…), rounds (or draws/flights), a prize fee charged as its own line, display order and a team-display choice. The classic view carries CCM’s 36-field League Edit form.
- Generate the draw by weekday and sheet, with division pools and slot reservation; two-night leagues work. CCM’s generator options are in both views: a last league night (end date), a game against “Nobody” for a bye, and balanced or in-order sheets. Afterwards the schedule stays editable: reschedule a draw, add or delete a game, change teams, mass-edit, import games from CSV.
- Ice sheets as records — in service, show on TV, order.
- Score sheets print from the Draws tab (Print score sheets).
- Team entry and individual entry as two independent flags on a league; the wizard offers only the entry doors some league takes.
- Copy teams into another league, and a league’s sub list that staff and the convenor can add to, edit and export (every league at once, too).
- Sell a league by session — a session can be Offered at signup with its own Session fee and Individual entry limit.
- Draw optimiser — fairness panel, lock a game, fill around locks, drag-and-drop. Available when enabled (
drawOptimizer). - Bonspiels — double and triple knockout and Schenkel, run one round at a time, with games landing on the TV board. Available when enabled (
bonspiels). - Bye requests — staff and skips record league nights a team will sit out; the generator gives those teams the bye, moves or makes up the games it can’t, and reports what it could not meet before you save. Available when enabled (
byeRequests). - Jitney leagues: for newbie and drop-in play. Curlers say I’m in or I’m out for each night, staff add drop-ins at the desk and shuffle whoever is in into that night’s teams (positions honoured, few repeat teammates), and points go to individual curlers. Available when enabled (
jitney).
Points and standings
- Points rules per round × division: win, loss, tie, default win and default loss (forfeits) and points per end won, with decimals. A specific row overrides a wildcard row.
- Result modes — points (the CCM way; the default for new leagues) or scores.
- Standings with CCM’s nine columns (Wins, Losses, Ties, Round Points, Total Points, Ends Won, Games Played, Games Scheduled, Win %) and all three CCM views: Total Points for all Rounds, Total Points for Each Round and Wins/Losses/Ties. The club picks which columns show and the sort column; on the league page, the Total Points for Each Round table re-sorts by any column header.
- Individual standings for a jitney league: attending points plus win / tie / loss points per curler, with staff adjustments, on the Standings tab, the League Portal, the public league page and My Teams. Available when enabled (
jitney). - Result entry by staff, by the league convenor, and by members from Game Results, My Teams or the league’s schedule — with ends won and scores (halves allowed) where the league uses them, corrections, and no results for games not yet played. Member-entered results move the standings, and the classic game list shows who last saved each result (Edited By).
Signup and membership types
- A self-configurable signup wizard — steps, order, questions and the Step 1 field list are shaped under Settings → Registration Form; one definition drives the member wizard and the staff proxy desk (including the desk’s classic view).
- Positions, play-with requests, league ranking, team invite codes, skip-only entry, 5th–8th roster spots; priced options (a locker fee, for instance).
- Membership types with eligibility: a league can require a membership. Each type has Show on sign-up, an Order and a formatted description, which the wizard follows.
- Leagues a curler cannot join are greyed out with the reason (gender, age, skill level, required membership) before they are picked; a full league reads FILLED or LIMIT REACHED, a full league with room on its waitlist reads WAITLIST and can be picked, and a league the curler is already in reads ALREADY REGISTERED.
- The Confirm total is the total charged. Early-bird shows as its own line.
- Pay at club or by mail with a printable registration sheet — a club with no card processor can still register curlers.
- Proxy registration — staff register a member through the same wizard; the member gets an offline invoice.
- Waivers signed inside the wizard, per season, with age targeting.
- Age limits enforced in the wizard and at checkout using the club’s season.
- Waitlists and registration queues (a virtual waiting room). Available when enabled (
waitlists,registrationQueues).
Members’ area
Teams, Schedules, Standings; Member’s Home; My Information (the editable member record, including Payment Info and Signup Info); My Teams; sub availability and live Sub Lists; Free Agent Listing; Member Search (the directory, off until the club enables it); Email a League; Game Result Entry; My Volunteer Interests; My Time Tracking; My Ice Bookings; members-only documents and announcements; and a record of every email and text the club sent them.Subs, volunteers and lockers
- Subs / spares — a member declares availability per league with two ranked positions and a comment; convenors and staff see the list.
- Volunteers — three role types (interest, slot sign-up, game duty), sub-roles with a free-text “when”, capacity and credit hours, an hours log with approval and a Task per entry, hour totals, shift reminders, and a Minimum hours per season that can be enforced at membership renewal. Staff can add anyone to a role, copy a role, order roles and export the listing to Excel.
- Lockers — a signup answer becomes a locker request; the Locker Rentals report lists them.
Skill levels
- Skill Levels — the club’s own level list under Members → Skill Levels, with level restrictions (warn or block) on leagues, memberships and booking types and a level filter on the club site. A
ccmmodule (training): the CCM import switches it on and brings the club’s CCM skill-level values across. It stays in the classic sidebar. A level that something still requires cannot be deleted.
Ice bookings and Today’s Ice
- Bookings (Registrations → Venues & Rentals) — bookable slots, booking windows, closures, categories and guards, a public calendar, and each member’s My Ice Bookings. A venue linked to a private resource is hidden from the public and stays bookable by club members, as in CCM. A
ccmmodule: on for every club. - Today’s Ice — a per-sheet day grid that puts league draws, bookings and events on one screen (My Organization → Today’s Ice).
Website
- A page builder with club pages, custom menus, a site sidebar, document library, photo galleries, newsletters, news and articles, sponsors and alerts, form submissions and a media library.
- Site templates — Classic Club (the look of a site imported from CCM), Open Ice, Editorial and Community Board; preview and switch without losing content, with one step of undo.
- Frozen copy of an imported club’s old website — at cutover a migrated club’s public site can be served as an exact copy of its old CCM site, with login, signup, calendar and event links pointing into the product; the builder stays hidden until the club switches to it.
- Custom domain — serve the public site on your own domain; sign-in, registration and checkout stay on the club’s platform address. Per-club robots.txt and sitemap.
- Public events with online registration, behind the
eventsmodule, the site’s Events section, and a per-event opt-in.
Money
Card payments through the platform processor, offline payments, Interac e-Transfer, invoices with online pay, prize fees, fees and discounts (early-bird, multi-league, criteria-based), sales tax with Who pays the sales tax?, a convenience fee, club credits (refund-to-credit and pay-with-credit), refunds gated on the club’s balance, and a card-terminal payment recorded against an invoice. Available when enabled: instalment payment plans (paymentPlans), gift cards (giftCards), charitable tax receipts (taxReceipts), GL codes and QuickBooks/Xero sync (ledgers, accountingIntegrations), the club-credit balances page (clubCredits), and the Store with its POS terminal (store).
Reports
- The 26 CCM canned reports in CCM’s seven groups with the same names and order, as CSV and Excel; all 26 run, including the GNCC and USCA association member files in CCM’s exact layout (admins and finance staff only, with the club number and region set in Club Settings). Each report has its own permission (View Financials opens all of them), so a volunteer coordinator can run the volunteer and roster reports without seeing money.
- Schedule a report — “Email this report on a schedule” saves it under Saved reports with the filters you set.
- Report builder, dashboards and analytics. Available when enabled (
analytics,attendance).
Communications
- Email campaigns and newsletters to roster members, with segments by membership status and league. Broadcast-credit metering is off for CCM clubs; where it is on, only Uplifter adds or adjusts credits.
- Transactional emails the club can edit.
- Announcements on the member home.
- Available when enabled: SMS campaigns (
sms), chat (chat), notification rules (notificationsAdmin).
Rink TV
Settings → Club Displays — a board per screen addressed by a rotatable token at/tv/<token>: the schedule grid, a clock, a ticker, a slideshow, a per-sheet flag, standings by rotation and any https embed. Ice bookings interleave with league draws.
Staff, roles and the convenor portal
- Access Levels the club defines itself, replacing CCM’s fixed Joomla groups. The admin sidebar and ⌘K show each person only the pages their access level opens.
- League Manager as a real role granted on the league — the convenor portal at
/leaguelists Your leagues and what needs doing: games still needing a result, curlers not on a team, curlers who still owe their league fee. - Ask Hero, an assistant that answers questions about the club’s data and drafts changes a human approves. Available when enabled (
aiAssistant).
Coming from CCM
The classic view (for staff, on the dashboard), the skin switch, the Joomla redirect map, the frozen copy of a club’s old website and the migration pipeline are covered in the Coming from CCM tab. Also available when enabled
Passes, incidents, medical forms, certifications, holidays, live support, webhooks and API keys (webhooks), and the association-sync export (regsync).
