Must know
  • Require a membership (CCM rule) and the per-league Membership Requirement accept a membership in the same cart. Membership first, separately (CCM mode 1) does not — the curler must already hold an active membership.
  • With a per-league requirement, the wizard greys out the league for a curler who does not hold the membership and has not picked it earlier in the same wizard: Needs a membership {name} does not hold — pick one on the membership step. Checkout checks again.
  • A per-league requirement stops being enforced when every required membership term has expired or closed; a curler holding an expired term of it still qualifies.
1. Require a membership (CCM rule) — form builder, Select a membership step. Continue is blocked with “You must select a membership type. Please retry.” unless a membership is picked or already held. Off by default; the CCM importer turns it on for migrating clubs. It never blocks when the membership catalog is empty. 2. Membership first, separately (CCM mode 1) — form builder, Select your leagues step. The curler must already hold an active membership before registering for a league; one in the same order does not count, and checkout enforces it too. The doors screen shows “Your membership has expired. You cannot register for or join a team in a league until you renew your membership.” — editable via Message when the membership is missing and the ‘Renew your membership’ link (default /memberships). 3. Per-league Membership Requirement — the league editor’s Requirements step: Require members to have an active membership, then tick at least one membership. At checkout an ineligible curler sees: Member “X” does not have the required membership for “League”. Please add the membership to your cart or contact the organization. In the classic view the same requirement is on League Edit, under Support Settings (do not adjust): each required Membership Type is a row with an X to remove it, and Add Membership Type picks another and Adds it. Nothing changes until you click Save. Related: What is a membership type? · What is the registration form builder? · How do I create a league?
