  • Only clubs that switch this on enforce it, and only for renewals — a first membership is never blocked.
  • What counts is approved hours in the previous season. Pending hours do not count.
  • If you are short, checkout stops with a message and tells you to Contact the club.
When you buy a membership at a club that enforces minimum hours, checkout compares your approved hours from last season with the club’s minimum. If you fall short you see:
Membership renewal requires {min} volunteer hours in {season} — you have {approved} ({short} short). Contact the club.
Nothing is charged. The club can approve outstanding hours, waive the requirement, or take your registration another way. To see where you stand before you renew, open My Account → Volunteer Hours in the new look: the Volunteering card shows {n}h approved (+{n}h pending) and a badge — {n}h short of {min}h minimum or {min}h minimum met. Shifts the club marks as worked add approved hours automatically (using the shift’s credit hours or its length).
