Must know
  • Only at clubs where Uplifter has switched on bye requests. If you don’t see a Nights off button on your team, your club doesn’t use them — ask your league convenor directly.
  • The team’s skip asks for the team. If nobody on the roster is marked as skip, any curler on the roster can ask.
  • Ask early: a night locks once the club has made its schedule or the night has passed. After that, only your league convenor can change things.
  • A request is a request, not a guarantee. The schedule tries to give your team that night’s bye; if it can’t, your convenor sees why.
1

Open My Teams

On your club’s site go to My Account → My Teams and find the team.
2

Open Nights off

Click Nights off next to the team’s name. The dialog, Nights off — {team}, lists the nights your team has already asked for.
3

Pick the night

Choose the Night from Pick a league night (only nights that are still open are offered), add a Note for the convenor (optional), and click Request night off. You see Asked for {night} off.
To take a request back, click Withdraw next to it while that night is still open. A request marked added by the club was recorded by your convenor and can only be changed by them. A request marked scheduled is on a night the club has already scheduled. What the dialog may tell you:
  • Your team’s skip asks for nights off. — you are not the skip; ask them.
  • No nights are open for requests — the club has scheduled the rest. Ask your league convenor for changes.
  • The schedule for that night is already made — ask your league convenor to change it. or That night has already happened.
  • Your team already asked for that night off. A team can hold up to 20 requests in a league.
Once the schedule is made, check My Teams or the league’s schedule to see whether your team has the bye that night. Related: What is My Teams? · How do I read the schedule? · How do I find my league’s teams, schedule and standings?
