Must know
- Say the password thing first. Members arrive with no password and sign in with Send sign-in code; a club that does not announce it spends its first Monday answering the same email.
- Members get the new pages for their account, registration, leagues and sub lists — there is no classic view for members. The classic view is only for club staff on the dashboard.
- Everything else is reassurance: same club words, same bookmarks, same standings, and, if the club’s site is served as a copy of the old one, the same website.
Before the freeze
- The date and the window. Nothing entered in CCM after the freeze survives.
- Registrant lists. If your club used Events Booking, export the lists you rely on now.
- Nothing to do yet. Accounts, leagues, teams, points and payment history move over.
Day one
Suggested wording, plain enough to paste:Our club system has moved. Open the same address as before. To sign in, type your email and press Send sign-in code — there is no password any more; a code arrives by email each time. The member pages have a new look: My Account lists My Information, My Teams, your subbing availability, Volunteer Hours, Game Results, Ice Bookings, Teams, Schedules, Standings, Sub Lists, Free Agents, Member Search and Email a League. Old bookmarks still work and open the matching new page. When you next register you will be asked to sign the club’s release again, because the old system never kept a signature.
What members will notice
- The pages are new. The same things are there — profile, teams, schedules and standings, sub lists, signup — in the new design. Members who ask for the old look cannot have it; see Can I still use the classic view?.
- The signup wizard asks what your club’s signup asked; the total at Confirm is exactly what is charged, and tax appears as its own line if the club has chosen Customer pays. A full league shows as FILLED (or LIMIT REACHED), and a league the curler cannot join is greyed out with the reason — the gender, age or membership rule — before they pick it.
- Confirm books the registration. Pressing Confirm and continue to payment holds the curler’s place and makes an invoice for the total. It must be paid within the club’s number of days (7 unless the club changes it), or the entry is deleted and the place goes back. This is the warning CCM showed, but now it is carried out. Paying by card, choosing Pay at the club or by mail, or paying the invoice later from the Members Portal all keep the place. See Why does my registration say it will be deleted if unpaid?.
- Game Results opens the same result form as My Teams (with ends won where the league collects them) and lets a curler correct a result already entered; a game not yet played cannot take a result.
- Member Search may be empty at first — the club decides which fields the directory shows.
- My Ice Bookings shows their reservations; cancelling is by the club.
- Payment Info on their profile lists the payments carried over from CCM.
- The club website may be an exact copy of the old one for a while; its login, signup, calendar and event links open the new pages.
- New things appear only if the club turns them on.
For the board and convenors
Staff roles do not migrate — grant them under Settings → Staff and Access Levels, and grant each convenor on their league from the League Edit form. Convenors get the portal at/league and can now see their own league’s sub list.
