Must know
  • Resources → My Organization → Facilities (spaces under each facility, each with its own Access and order). A migrated club’s CCM resources are listed there. Calendar → My Organization → Today’s Ice, a per-sheet day grid of league draws, bookings and events. Both have classic twins with the Facility Calendar menu.
  • Bookable ice, windows, closures, categories and guards are under Registrations → Venues & Rentals (the bookings module, on for every CCM club).
  • Members see My ice bookings (/account/bookings), a new-look page; cancelling a booking is done by the club.
  • Admin bookmarks to com_facilitycalendar redirect to Facilities, or to Today’s Ice for the Calendar view.

Resources → Facilities

The classic twin composes the Facility Calendar’s own menu, not com_curling’s: Resources lists the club’s spaces under each facility, read and written through the same screens the new look uses. Booking Uses and the Joomla Info panel have no equivalent and say so in plain text. The list works the way CCM’s did: New, Edit, Publish, Unpublish and Delete on the toolbar; Sort Table By Name (the default), Ordering, Status, Access or ID, Ascending or Descending; and 20 resources a page with a pager, or 5 to 100, or All. The ID column is the resource’s place in the club’s own order. Each resource’s form has Access — Club setting, Public or Private — and Ordering. A resource on Club setting follows Show sheets publicly in Club Settings, and the list prints that value. In the new look the same Access and Order are on the facility’s Spaces tab. As in CCM, a resource that is not Public hides its bookings from guests: the bookable venue linked to it is left off the public calendar, the Registration page and checkout. Members, guardians and staff still see it, and TV screens still show it. See Who can see a venue’s bookings?. After migration. Your CCM resources are listed here under one facility named after the club, with their published state, CCM’s order and their Access (CCM’s Public stays Public; Registered and Special read Private). Each one is also imported as a bookable venue for the calendar and rentals, as before. The import links each venue to its resource, so a resource that was private in CCM keeps its bookings hidden from guests. They are still separate records, so renaming or unpublishing a resource on this screen does not rename or close its calendar column — change the venue under Registrations → Venues & Rentals too.

Calendar → Today’s Ice

CCM drew the day grid with a paid calendar component; Uplifter Curling draws its own over the same shape — columns are sheets and rooms, rows are times — and puts league draws, ice bookings and events on it together, on the club’s clock. It is on the dashboard nav as Today’s Ice and has a classic twin.

Bookings

Under Registrations → Venues & Rentals: bookable slots with windows, closures, booking categories, the three booking guards (advance limits, minimum notice, bookings per member — set under Club Settings), holder emails and a public calendar. Imported facility-calendar rows come across as bookings at the club’s local time; CCM’s calendar copies of league games are not imported, because the draws already show on Today’s Ice. A two-tier “use” price collapses to one price on import.

What members see

My ice bookings lists the member’s own reservations and their wards’ — upcoming first, then a Past bookings section CCM never had — with a Book ice button. Booking new ice goes through the public calendar; cancellation is done by the club. Members have no classic version of this page.
