Must know
- Classic view: pick a league, then Points (the Select a League dropdown on the screen switches to another league’s grid, asking first if you have typed points you have not saved). New look: the league’s League Setup tab, points card.
- A row per round × division with Win, Loss and Tie (required), plus Default win, Default loss and Per end won — the last three are new since CCM.
- A league in points mode refuses to save a result for a round × division that has no points row. That is CCM’s behaviour, kept on purpose.
The grid
“Points per {round} × {division}, 0–99.99 with up to 2 decimals (halves like 1.5 allowed). Win, Loss, and Tie are required; Default win / Default loss are the forfeit points (blank = same as win / loss) and Per end won is added per end a team wins (blank = 0). A specific row overrides a wildcard row. Clear a row to remove it — result entry refuses games whose {round}/{division} has no points row.” CCM keyed one row per league × round × division and nothing else. Uplifter Curling lets a row leave the round or the division blank to mean “all”, so a league with the same points everywhere needs one row, and a playoff round can override it. When several rows could apply, the most specific wins: round and division, then round only, then division only, then the league-wide row.Result mode
Next to the grid: “How results are recorded. Points mode needs a points row below for every {round} × {division} before results can be saved.” New leagues start in points mode, which is how CCM worked — each game stores the league points awarded, not the curling score. Switching a league to points mode shows: “Results now record as points — make sure every {round} × {division} has a points row”. Scores mode records curling scores and outcomes and derives points through the same rows when standings are read.Where the points end up
Every stored points value isoutcome points + per-end points × ends won, whether a result is entered by staff, by a convenor or by a member on the club site’s Game results page. The Standings tab tells you which rule it is using: “Ranked by points assigned per game” or “Ranked by results mapped through the points rule (Win {win} / Loss {loss} / Tie {tie})”.
