Must know
  • The three switches are the same ones CCM’s com_curling Options had: sub_spare, rounds_draw_flight, division_pool. The import carries your club’s choice, so nothing reads differently on day one.
  • “Wording only. Reports, exports, links and imported data are unaffected, and the classic skin uses the same words.”
  • Default for a brand-new club: Subbing, Round, Division — CCM’s own defaults.
Curling clubs are regional about these words, and CCM let each club pick once. Uplifter Curling keeps the setting under Settings → Club Settings, in the Club terminology card: “Curling clubs use different words for the same things. Pick yours and they change everywhere members and staff read them — nothing about your data, exports or links changes.”

Pick the three words

  • Stand-in curlers — Subbing or Sparing. Used on “League {subs} lists, each member’s availability page and the {subs} tab on every league.”
  • Schedule segments — Round, Draw or Flight. Used in “League Setup, the points grid, game assignment and the standings tabs. ‘Round robin’ is a format and keeps its name.”
  • Team groupings — Division or Pool. Used in “League Setup, team and game assignment, the points grid and standings headings.”

The card previews the result: “Your screens will say {Subs}, {Rounds} and {Divisions}.”

What changes, and what does not

The words change on the modern screens (in English and French) and on the classic screens, which print the English word the way CCM did — the classic admin bar reads Subs or Spares, Rounds, Draws or Flights, Divisions or Pools. Member page names such as My Subbing Availability and Sub Lists follow the same switch, as does the Available to sub? panel on each league page. The club site shows a new choice as soon as you save. Nothing else moves: report names, exports, URLs and the imported data keep their stored names. The ice-time tab on a league is still called Draws even when your schedule-segment word is also “Draw” — the two are different things, and CCM showed both.
