Must know
  • “Four ways to lay out your site. A template changes how your pages are arranged and drawn — never what is on them. Your text, pictures, menu, logo and brand colour stay put when you switch.”
  • A site imported from CCM is on Classic Club. “Sizes measured from your old CCM site are kept aside and come back if you return to Classic Club.”
  • Back to previous template restores the look you had before your last switch — one step.

The four

Switching

1

Preview

Website → Templates → Preview shows your own site under the template — “Trying a template”, with Template to try, Apply and Exit preview.
2

Apply

The confirmation reads: “Your pages, text, pictures, menu, logo and brand colour stay exactly as they are. Colours, fonts, header arrangement, sidebar and sizes switch to this template’s. You can go back one step afterwards.” Press Apply template.
3

Go back if you want

Back to previous template — “Restores the look you had before your last switch, including any sizes measured from your old site.” Only the last switch is remembered.
Kept on every switch: “pages and their text and pictures, menu, logo, favicon, brand colour, contact details, social links, sponsors, footer wording, events and programs.” Your sidebar modules are kept even when a template hides the rail, so switching back brings them back. Nothing measured off the old site follows you onto a modern template — no CSS moves between templates.

A brand-new club

With no home page yet, Kick off your website: “Pick a template and we will draft one from your club’s own details — name, location, contact, what is coming up, your sponsors — for you to edit and publish.” Then Create home page and apply.
