Must know
  • Assemble from registrations groups curlers by the team name and skip name they typed at signup and previews the result before you Create {n} teams.
  • Random draw builds balanced teams from curlers who registered without a team, honouring preferred positions and play-with requests. Nothing is saved until you press Create.
  • New team makes an empty team you fill by hand with Add curler.
  • Copy teams brings teams and their rosters over from another league you run — see How do I copy teams to another league?.

Tidy the roster first

On Who’s registered, fix spellings of team and skip names — assembly matches names case-insensitively, and “Team Smith” and “Smith Team” become two teams.
2

Assemble declared teams

In Teams, choose Assemble from registrations. The Assemble teams preview shows each proposed team; confirm with Create {n} teams.
3

Draw the rest

Choose Random draw: Builds teams from the curlers who registered without a team, one Skip / Third / Second / Lead each, using their preferred positions. Curlers already on a team are left alone. Pick Curlers per team (4, 3 or 2 for doubles), Balance (Pure random or Even by league rank), what to do with Leftover curlers (Leave unassigned or Add to teams as alternates), and a naming scheme. Create.
The summary line reads {n} teams (of {max} max). Each team card shows its members with a star for the skip and a position badge, plus the league’s Division and Session pickers where those exist. My Teams on the member side fills in the moment a team exists — until then members see You have not been assigned to a team in the system. In a jitney league there are no fixed teams to create. Teams shows the night screen, where you build and publish each night’s teams from whoever is in. See How do I build tonight’s teams for a jitney league?.
