# What is members-only content?

> Who counts as a member for restricted pages, documents, galleries and newsletters, and where to find them all in one place.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * A club can mark a page, document, gallery, newsletter or news article **Members only**.
  * "Member" means your account is a curler at this club, is guardian of one, or is club staff. Simply having an account is not enough.
  * The Members Portal page **Club documents** gathers all members-only content from every club you belong to.
</Note>

Signed out, a members-only item shows a lock and a sign-in prompt. Signed in but not yet a member of this club — for instance before your first registration — the item stays out of reach. Once you or a curler you are guardian for is registered at the club, it opens.

Two places show it:

* **On the club site**, in the normal **News**, **Documents**, **Photo Galleries** and **Newsletters** pages, marked **Members only**.
* **In the Members Portal**, under **Club documents**: sections **Documents**, **Members-only pages**, **Newsletters** and **News**, each with **Open** or **Download**, grouped per club. If the club's site is not published yet the page says *Club website not published — links open once it is.*
