# How do I set my volunteer interests?

> Telling the club which volunteer roles you would help with, with a comment, so they can call on you.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * The **Volunteer** page (address `/volunteer`) lists every active volunteer role under **What would you help with?**. For each you switch interest on or off and can add a comment.
  * You must be signed in to see the roles; the club's dated shifts follow under **Open shifts**.
  * Only clubs that run the volunteer module have this page. The signup receipt links to it with **Continue to Update your Volunteer Interests**, just as CCM did.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the page">
    Go to `/volunteer` on your club's site — the signup receipt's **Continue to Update your Volunteer Interests** link and the **See open shifts** link on your **Volunteering** card both take you there. The page is headed **Volunteer**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Mark each role">
    Under **What would you help with?**, the roles are in the club's order. Each has a switch, its description (with the club's formatting — bold, lists, links), and a comment box (*Anything the club should know?*, up to 500 characters) — "weekday evenings only", for example. Roles you leave off count as not interested.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Choose **Save interests**. The page confirms **Thanks — the club can see what you'd help with**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

If you used CCM, this replaces **My Volunteer Interests**; an old CCM bookmark to that page lands here.
