# How do I log my volunteer hours?

> My Time Tracking: record the date, event, task and hours you worked, watch the club approve them, and delete a pending entry.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * **My Time Tracking** (address `/account/time`) is where you log hours you worked. Every entry is submitted as **pending** until the club approves it.
  * Hours from a shift the club marked as worked are added for you, already approved.
  * You can delete an entry you logged while it is still pending; after that only the club can change it — see [How do I fix a wrong hours entry?](/members/volunteering/how-do-i-fix-a-wrong-hours-entry).
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open My Time Tracking">
    Go to **My Account** and choose **Volunteer Hours**. The page, **My Time Tracking**, shows your **Volunteering** card: a season summary (*\{n}h approved (+\{n}h pending)*), your shifts, and your **Hours log**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Log the hours">
    Choose **Log hours**. In **Log volunteer hours**, enter **Hours** (in quarter-hour steps), the **Date**, the **Event** (one of the club's volunteer roles, or **No specific role**) and **What did you do?** — all but the event are required. When the event you pick has shifts, a **Task** select appears with them (or **No specific task**), as on CCM's time tracker.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit">
    Submit the entry. The page confirms **Hours submitted for approval**, and the entry appears in the **Hours log** with the status *pending*.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Each line of the **Hours log** shows the date, the hours, the event (and */ task* when you picked one) and your note, with a status of *approved*, *pending* or *rejected*. A pending entry you logged has a delete (bin) button.

You can log hours on **My Time Tracking** before you have any shift or hours at the club; the hours go to the club whose site you are on.
