# Why doesn't my contact info show in Member Search?

> The directory is off by default and each contact field is switched on by the club, not by you.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * The member directory starts **off**, and email, phone and city are each **off** until the club turns them on.
  * There is no per-member setting — you cannot hide or show your own details; the club's choice applies to everyone.
  * Your email and phone are still shared where you opted in: on the **Sub Lists** and the **Free agents** list, and with the convenor of any league you registered in.
</Note>

Uplifter Curling deliberately differs from CCM here. CCM's member search showed everyone's contact details to every member; here a club has to choose to show **Email**, **Phone** and **City**, one at a time. A club migrated from CCM usually has the same columns switched on as before, but a new club may show names only.

So if you see a **NAME** column and nothing else, or the page says *This club's member directory is turned off*, that is the club's setting rather than something in your profile. Ask the club office if you think a column should be there.

If you *do* want to be reachable by teammates, the places that always carry your contact details for signed-in members are your subbing availability and any free-agent listing you add.
