# How do I email my league?

> Send a message to everyone registered in a league you play in — for sub requests, ride shares and league news.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * You can only email leagues you are registered in (or that you manage). The club must have member league email switched on.
  * There is a daily limit, normally **2 emails per day** per member. The page tells you how many you have left.
  * Your name and email are used as the sender, so replies come to you.
  * You can attach one file of up to 5 MB — a PDF, an image (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP), a Word or Excel file, CSV or plain text.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Email your league">
    Go to **My Account** and choose **Email a League** (address `/league-email`). The page is titled **Email your league**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Write it">
    Pick the league under **League**, then fill **Subject** (at least 3 characters) and **Message** (at least 10).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Attach a file (optional)">
    Under **Attachment (optional)**, choose one file. Its name shows beside the field; the **×** next to it takes it off again. A file over 5 MB is refused before sending (*That file is over 5 MB*), and a type not on the list is refused with *That file type can't be attached — use a PDF, an image (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP), a Word or Excel file, CSV or plain text*. The file must really be what its name says — a program renamed to `.pdf` is refused.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send">
    Choose **Send to the league**. The page confirms **Sent to \{n} members**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Beside the button you see how many you can still send, for example *2 more league emails today (limit 2 per day). Your name and email address are used as the sender.* Once you have used them all it reads *You've used today's league emails*.

Everyone registered in the league receives it — and the parents or guardians of any junior — except you. The subject arrives prefixed with the league name in square brackets, and the body starts with a line saying who sent it. An attached file arrives as a real attachment on every copy; the club does not keep a copy of it. If the club has turned the feature off you see **This club doesn't allow members to email leagues.**; if you are not registered anywhere yet, **You can email a league once you're registered in one.**
