# How do I join a waitlist?

> When a league is full, tick it where the wizard shows WAITLIST, or use Join Waitlist on its page; you are charged only if a spot opens.

  **Must know**

  * In the signup wizard a full league whose waitlist fills automatically, and still has room, reads **WAITLIST**. Tick it like any league. Nothing is charged for it at checkout; when a spot opens you are moved in and the league price is charged then.
  * A full league with no waitlist, a full waitlist, or a waitlist the club approves by hand reads **LIMIT REACHED** (or **FILLED**) and cannot be ticked. For a club-approved waitlist, look for **Join Waitlist** on the league's own page.
  * Once you are queued, the league reads **ON THE WAITLIST** in the wizard while it stays full, and checkout refuses a second waitlist entry.
  * You must be signed in — *waitlist entries are tied to your account email*.
  * Some clubs approve waitlist entries by hand; others promote you automatically and let you register straight away when a seat frees up.

**In the signup wizard.** On the leagues step, tick the league marked **WAITLIST** and fill in its entry as usual. The league's own rules (entry type, gender, age, skill level, membership) still apply. If a spot opens before you pay, checkout stops with *A spot has opened in "\{league}". Nothing has been charged — go back and register for it instead of joining the waitlist.* If the waitlist filled in the meantime: *The waitlist for "\{league}" is full. Nothing has been charged.* A league sold by session has no waitlist in the wizard.

**From the league's page.** Open the league from **Registration** and choose **Join Waitlist**. Depending on how the club set the league up you see one of two flows:

* **Join the waitlist** dialog — **Name**, **Phone (optional)**, **Notes (optional)**, then **Join waitlist**. You see *You're on the waitlist — we'll email you if a spot opens up.* The club reviews entries and emails you when it approves one; you then register normally.
* **Review & Join Waitlist** inside the league's registration flow, when the league fills automatically from its list: *This program is currently full* → **You've been added to the waitlist!** When a spot opens you are moved in and asked to pay.

Your waitlists appear on **My Account** in the new look under **Waitlists**. A league with no waitlist simply shows **Sold Out**.
