# What is a payment plan?

> Paying a league fee in instalments — a deposit today, then automatic charges weekly, every two weeks or monthly — where the club offers it.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Where a league allows it and you are signed in, checkout shows **Payment plan available** with a switch per item and the breakdown *\{deposit} today, then \{count} × \{amount} \{cadence}*.
  * Instalments are charged automatically to the card you use today. The full fee remains due; the invoice shows the schedule.
  * Plans cannot be combined with a gift card or with paying at the club.
</Note>

Turn the switch on for the item you want to spread. **Due today** changes to the deposit, and the fine print reads *Installments are charged automatically to the card used today. The full amount remains due; your invoice shows the schedule.* Cadence is **weekly**, **every 2 weeks** or **monthly**, and the schedule finishes before the league ends. If part of your order is not eligible you are told *A payment plan wasn't available for part of your order — those items are charged in full today.*

Afterwards, **Billing Details** in the Members Portal has a **Payment Plans** section with **Paid to date**, **Remaining**, **Next \{cadence} charge** and the **Card** on file, plus **Change card**. Each successful instalment emails you **Payment received - \{description}**. The invoice shows **Partially paid** until the last instalment, when it becomes **Paid**.
