# How do guardians and curler profiles work?

> One login, several curlers: adding a child, letting a second parent share them, and approving guardian requests.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Your login is one account; each curler (you, your children) is a separate **curler profile**. You can be guardian of several.
  * Add a curler in the Members Portal (**My Members** → **Add Member**) or in the signup wizard (**Create Curler**).
  * A second parent shares a child by adding the same child (same name and date of birth) with **Allow other guardians** switched on — there is no invite email.
</Note>

**Adding a curler.** In the Members Portal, **My Members** lists everyone on your account with badges such as **You** and **Claimable**. **Add Member** opens **Add New Member**: **First Name**, **Last Name**, **Date of Birth**, **Gender Declaration**, the switch **Allow other guardians** (*Let other guardians find and claim this member*), and — if you have no profile of your own yet — **This member is me**. The signup wizard's **Create Curler** does the same in fewer fields.

**Sharing with another parent.** Turn on **Allow other guardians** on the child's page (**Guardian Settings**). The other parent then adds the child with the identical name and date of birth at the club and is attached at once: *Member found and you have been added as a guardian.* If the switch is off, they instead see that the member exists and the primary guardian has not enabled claiming.

**Guardian Requests.** The primary guardian sees pending requests under **Guardian Requests** — *\{name} wants to be a guardian of \{curler}* — with **Approve** and **Deny**.

**Each child's page** (`/members/{id}`) also has **Edit Member Details** (children only), the list of **Guardians**, and **Your Visibility Settings** (**Share registrations**, **Share financial details**) controlling what co-guardians see.

Wherever a page covers several curlers — My Information, subbing, free agents — a **Curler profile** or **Curler:** selector lets you pick which one.
