# Why does a team show as the skip's name?

> Leagues can display teams by team name or by skip name; the club picks per league.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Each league is set to show teams either by **Team Name** or by **Skip Name** (as `Last, First`). Your club chooses.
  * The choice applies to the league page's **Standings**, **Teams** and **Draw Schedule**.
  * **My Teams** and **Game results** always use the team's actual name.
</Note>

Many curling clubs name teams after the skip — "Larsen, Milton" — and CCM did the same. Uplifter Curling keeps that as a per-league setting. When a league is set to skip name, every public list prints the skip as `Last, First`; if a team has no skip on its roster, the team name is used as a fallback.

Volunteer duty labels on the schedule use the raw team name regardless of the setting.

If you think your league is showing the wrong style, it is a club setting — ask your league manager.
