# What is Ends Won?

> The EW standings column, when it is collected, and how halves work.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * **Ends Won** (the **EW** column) is only collected in leagues where the club has turned it on. Other leagues never ask for it.
  * It is entered per team, from 0 to 12.5 in half-end steps, at the same time as the result.
  * Some clubs award **points per end won** on top of the win/loss points, so EW can move the standings — check your league's rules.
</Note>

When your league tracks ends won, the result dialog (**Record result** or **Edit result**) asks for **Our ends won** and **Their ends won**. It is the same dialog on **Game results**, **My Teams** and the league page's schedule, so you can enter ends won from any of them.

The half steps exist because clubs count ends differently — a blanked or shared end can be recorded as half an end for each team. Enter what your club's rules say.

In the standings, **EW** is the plain sum of the ends your team won across the round. A blank cell means no ends have been recorded for that team yet.
