# How do I say I'm in for a jitney night and see my points?

> In a jitney league, tell the club each night whether you're coming, see the team you were put on, and follow your own points and rank, all from My Teams.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Only for jitney leagues, at clubs where Uplifter has switched them on. In a jitney league there are no fixed teams: the club puts whoever is in that night into new teams, and points go to you personally.
  * **If you don't answer, you're counted as not coming.** Click **I'm in** for each night you'll play.
  * You can change your answer until the cutoff the club set (often two hours before the first game) or until the club publishes that night's teams, whichever comes first. After that, contact your league convenor.
  * Dropped in without registering? You get the card too, whether you booked the night online or the club added you at the desk. It shows the nights you dropped in to, your team and your points.
  * You can't enter jitney results yourself. The club or your convenor records them, and your points update once they do.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open My Teams">
    On your club's site go to **My Account → My Teams**. Each jitney league you're registered in, or have dropped in to, has its own card, marked **Jitney**. If jitney is all you play, the card is all you see; the page doesn't tell you you're not on a league roster. Under the league name is the points rule, for example *1 for playing a night, plus 3 for a win, 2 for a tie, 0 for a loss.*
  </Step>

  <Step title="Answer for a night">
    The card lists the next six league nights (if you dropped in rather than registered, only the upcoming nights you dropped in to; a drop-in night already shows as **I'm in**). Each shows *Games start \{time}* and *answer by \{time}*. Click **I'm in** or **I'm out**. You see *You're in — see you on the ice* or *Got it — you're out that night*, and your choice stays highlighted. You can change it until the night locks.
  </Step>

  <Step title="See your team">
    Once the club publishes the night's teams, the night shows *Your team: Team \{name}* with your teammates and their positions, and the game: *vs \{opponent} · \{sheet} · \{time}*. After the game the result is added, for example **Won** or **Lost by default**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check your points">
    At the top of the card, **My points:** reads, for example, *7 points — rank 2 of 16 · 2 nights · 1W 0L 1T*. Until a result is entered it says *none yet — points appear once a night's result is entered.*
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Why a night is locked

On a locked night the **I'm in** and **I'm out** buttons are greyed out, and the reason shows where the answer time was:

* **answers closed**: the cutoff has passed. If it passes while the page is open and you click, you'll see *It's too late to change your answer for that night — contact the league convenor.*
* **teams are made**: the club has published that night's teams.
* **club closed**: the club is closed that night.
* **not a league night**

## How your points add up

With the usual numbers you get 1 point for playing a night, plus 3 for a win, 2 for a tie or 0 for a loss. That makes a win worth 4, a tie 3 and a loss 1. Your club may use different numbers; the card always shows its rule. A night you sit out, or a game your team lost by default, earns no attending point. The club can also add or take away points with a note, for example to credit a drop-in night late.

The full table is on the league's page on your club site, under **Individual standings**, when the club publishes its standings. Curlers are ranked by total points, then wins, then nights played, and anyone still level shares a rank.
