# How do I create an account?

> Signing up on your club's site: verify your email, set a password, and you are signed in.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Choose **Sign Up** on your club's site (address `/signup`). You verify your email with a code before setting a password.
  * Passwords need at least 12 characters with upper and lower case, a number and a symbol.
  * If you already have an Uplifter account at another club, signing up here links that account to this club — you then log in with your existing password.
  * If your club was migrated from CCM, you probably already have an account under the email the club had on file. Try **Email Code** sign-in first.

  <Step title="Enter your email">
    On the **Create Your Account** page, type your **Email** and choose **Send verification code**.

  <Step title="Verify it">
    On **Check your email**, enter the **Verification Code** from the email (six characters, like `A3K9X2`) and choose **Verify email**. You can **Resend code** after 30 seconds or **Change email**.

  <Step title="Complete your account">
    Fill in **Full Name**, **Phone Number**, **Password** and **Confirm Password**. Tick **I confirm I am 18 years of age or older and I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy**. The SMS checkbox is optional. Choose **Create Account**.

You see **Account Created!** and are signed in and returned to the club's home page. If your email already belongs to an Uplifter account at another club, you instead see *Your account is now connected to \{club}. Please log in.* — sign in with the password you already use. If the email already has an account at this club, the page says so; use **Log in** instead.
