# How do I enter a game result?

> The Results section lists games waiting for a result; one click records who won, and the standings update below.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * **Results** shows **Games waiting for a result** — every past game with two teams and no result — as *A vs B*, the draw, the sheet and the date. The sheet uses your club's own label for it from **Settings → Club Settings → Ice sheets** (for example **North** or **Sheet C**), the same as the schedule; only a sheet number with no row there falls back to **Sheet \{n}**.
  * Points league: press **\{Team} won** or **Tie**. Scores league: type both scores and **Save** (*Enter a score for both teams*).
  * Saving refuses if the round and division have no points rule: *No points have been configured for this game's round/division — set Win/Loss/Tie points on the League Setup tab before recording results.*
</Note>

For a points league — the default, and what CCM did — the result *is* the points: the rule for that round and division turns a win, loss or tie into league points, and the standings below the list move at once. **Result saved** confirms it. When nothing is pending the section says **Every game that has been played has a result.**

Other refusals you may meet: *This league records results as points (win/loss/tie) — numeric scores don't apply* (you typed a score in a points league), *A knockout game cannot end in a tie — play an extra end and record the winner.*, and *Both sides need teams before recording a result*.

Members can also enter results for their own games if the league has participant scoring on; their entries land in the same place and count the same way.
