# What is the What needs doing list?

> The portal's to-do list: games missing results, curlers without a team, a league with no schedule, and fees still owed — in that order.

  **Must know**

  * The list shows only what is outstanding; a row disappears when you deal with it. When everything is done it reads **Nothing needs your attention right now.** — *Results are in, everyone is on a team, and the schedule is built.*
  * Rows, most urgent first: games missing a result → curlers not on a team → no schedule → league fees owed.
  * Each row names up to five people or draws (*and \{n} more*) and has an action button that opens the right section.

The rows and what clears them:

| Row | Action | Clears when |
| - | - | - |
| **\{n} games still need a result** | **Enter results** | Every past game with two teams has a result. |
| **\{n} curlers registered and no teams yet** | **Create teams** | At least one team exists. (Shown instead of the next row while there are no teams.) |
| **\{n} curlers are not on a team** | **Build teams** | Every active registrant is on a team. Waitlisted curlers are not counted. |
| **\{n} teams and no games scheduled** | **Build the schedule** | Any game exists. Only shown with two or more teams. |
| **\{n} curlers still owe their league fees** | **See the roster** | Their league fee lines are paid. |

On the fees row you see *\{amount} outstanding* for the leagues you run; someone who may only read the league sees the names and *Amounts are only shown to staff with financial access.*

A jitney league never shows the two team rows (**registered and no teams yet** and **are not on a team**), because its teams are built night by night.

There is deliberately no row for subs: a sub list is a resource that never "empties", not a task.

The counts refresh every time you return to **What needs doing**, so after entering six results the list reflects it at once.
