# Why can't I open Hero?

> The Hero button is missing when the club has not enabled it, when your account has no admin access, or in the classic admin screens.

  **Must know**

  * Hero is off for a club until a superadmin enables it — many clubs coming from CCM have not turned it on yet. Ask your club.
  * The launcher needs an account with admin access — the **Curling League Admin** access level provides it. Being only named on a league does not.
  * Inside the League Portal the button appears in either skin; in the classic admin screens themselves it does not.

**No button anywhere.** The club has not enabled the AI assistant, or the platform has it switched off. There is nothing you can change — raise it with a club administrator.

**Portal opens, but no Hero.** Your account may reach the portal only through a league-manager listing without the access level; ask an administrator to add **Curling League Admin** for your leagues. Access applies at your next sign-in.

**In Full admin view (classic).** The classic CCM-style screens do not carry the launcher. Go back to the portal (`/league`) to use Hero.

**Hero opens but refuses a task.** Tools are scoped to the leagues you run. Emailing the league through Hero needs club-wide communication rights — use the portal's **Email the league** instead. Anything about members or money outside your leagues is likewise declined.
