# How do I send a newsletter?

> Compose a newsletter under Website → Newsletters, email it to all members in one click, and keep a public archive on your site.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Sending needs the **Email Campaigns** feature and the *communication.send* permission. A send goes to **all members** — there is no smaller audience here; use an email campaign for that.
  * A sent issue cannot be edited. Deleting one removes it from the website archive only; the emails have already gone.
  * Newsletters count against your plan's email allowance. They use broadcast credits only when a superadmin has enabled **Broadcast Credit Metering** for your club; otherwise they send unmetered, as CCM did.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Write the issue">
    Go to **Website → Newsletters** and click **New newsletter**. Enter a **Subject** and write the **Body** in the rich-text editor.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the archive visibility">
    **Website archive visibility** decides who can read the issue at `/newsletters` on your site: **Public (anyone)** or **Members only (signed in)**. Click **Save draft**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send">
    On the draft's row click **Send**. The confirmation reads "Email "…" to all members now? It will also be archived on your website." Confirm.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Behind the scenes a send creates a **Newsletter** email campaign to all members, so it obeys the same limits as any campaign. If credit metering is on and the balance is short, the send is refused with a message pointing you to **Communication → Broadcast Credits**.

After sending, the row shows **Sent** with the date and the issue is archived at its own address under `/newsletters/`.
