# How do I post news and articles?

> Publish news posts from Website → News & Articles, with optional PDF attachments and a members-only option.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * The public `/news` page only exists when **News & Articles** is switched on under **Website → Pages**. Without it, articles are still saved but the news page returns "not found".
  * The article body is entered as HTML in a plain **Body (HTML)** box, and the picture is a typed **Image URL (optional)** — there is no picture uploader on this screen. Copy a link from the Media Library.
  * There is no publish-date field: the date is set when you publish.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Write the article">
    Go to **Website → News & Articles** and click **New article**. Enter a **Title**, an **Excerpt (optional summary)** and the **Body (HTML)**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a picture or files">
    Paste an **Image URL (optional)** for the header picture. Under **PDF attachments**, click **Attach PDF** for up to 10 PDF files; they appear as download links at the bottom of the article.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose visibility and publish">
    Set **Visibility** to **Public (anyone)** or **Members only (signed in)**, switch on **Published**, and save.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Newest posts appear first at `/news`, and each opens at its own address under `/news/`. Members-only posts are hidden from the public. The three most recent articles also appear in the **Latest news** tout beside your home and news pages when that tout is on under **Website → General → Website Extras**.
