# How do I change my site theme?

> Website → Theme sets a preset plus your own page colours, fonts and heading accent, with a built-in readability check.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * The brand colour is not part of the theme — it stays under **Website → General → Branding**.
  * The two fonts here are the same settings as **Heading font** and **Body and menu font** on Header & Home; changing one changes both.
  * The palette applies in light mode only; fonts and heading accents apply in both light and dark mode.
  * The accessibility check warns but never blocks a save.
</Note>

Go to **Website → Theme** (titled **Site Theme**). Under **Preset** choose **No theme** (our standard design), **Uplifter**, **Club Classic**, **Heritage** or **Modern**; picking **No theme** clears every override below.

**Colours** lets you override **Page background**, **Cards and quiet bands**, **Text** and **Heading rule**. Under each you see either "From the preset." or "Your own colour." with a **Use the preset's** link to drop the override.

**Type** sets **Heading font** and **Body font**, and **Heading accent**: **None**, **Short rule under the heading**, **Full-width rule** or **Bar beside the heading**.

The **Accessibility check** compares six colour pairs against the WCAG AA standard and names the field to change when one is hard to read. You can still **Save**; the toast then says "Theme saved, but … colour pair(s) are hard to read."

Applying a site template rewrites these theme settings, so pick a template first and fine-tune the theme afterwards.
