# How do I add sponsors and site alerts?

> Add sponsor logos with view and click counts, and publish site-wide alert banners, from Website → Sponsors & Alerts.

  **Must know**

  * A sponsor needs a **Name** and **Logo**; adding a **Website** turns on click tracking.
  * An existing sponsor cannot be edited from this screen — you can switch it between **active** and **hidden**, or delete it. To change a logo or link, add the sponsor again. Deleting warns you to **Deactivate instead to keep them**, which preserves the view and click counts.
  * Attaching a sponsor to particular leagues, programs or articles is not available from this screen, even though the card mentions it.

## Sponsors

Go to **Website → Sponsors & Alerts**. Under **Add sponsor** enter the **Name**, upload the **Logo**, add the **Website (optional)** and save. Each sponsor row shows its counts — "N views · N clicks" — and an **active / hidden** switch.

Sponsors appear wherever you place them: in a **Sponsors** block on a club page, in the site sidebar, and in the **Random sponsor** tout beside the home and news pages when that tout is on under **Website → General → Website Extras**.

## Alerts

An alert is a banner shown across the top of your public pages — for an ice closure, a storm day or a registration deadline.

    Under **New alert** enter the **Message** (up to 500 characters).

  <Step title="Choose where it shows">
    **Pattern** is the part of the address the alert applies to — `/` means every page. **Match** decides how the pattern is compared: **Starts with**, **Exact** or **Contains**.

  <Step title="Set an end date and publish">
    Fill in **Display until (optional)** if the alert should disappear on a date, then click **Publish alert**. Each alert row has an on/off switch and a delete button.
