# What is the free agent list?

> Where curlers without a team list themselves so skips can pick them up, and the one switch a club controls.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * A league shows on the free agent page only when its **Free agent list** switch is on in the league editor ("Let curlers without a team list themselves so skips can pick them up. Shown on the club's free-agent page.").
  * There is no admin screen for free agents. You cannot view, edit or clear listings from the dashboard; each curler manages (and can delete) only their own listing. Hero can read the list for you if Ask Hero is enabled.
  * Signed-in members see contact details for every league with the list on. Anonymous visitors see names and positions only, and only for leagues whose public page is published and not private.
  * Members always get the new-look page. The classic view is for staff only, and there is no classic free-agent page any more.
</Note>

The **Free agents** page on your public site (`/free-agents`, "Individuals looking for a team at \{club}") is the answer to "I want to curl but I don't have a team." Listings are grouped by league.

A curler clicks **List me as a free agent** and fills in **Curler**, **League**, **Preferred position** (required), **Second choice** (or **None**) and an optional **Comment**. One listing per league per account. A skip browsing the page sees the position and comment and, when signed in, how to get in touch.

Because there is no admin side, a listing stays until the curler removes it. If a stale listing bothers a skip, ask the curler to delete it, or turn the league's **Free agent list** switch off once teams are set — that hides the league's listings without deleting them.
