# What is League Email?

> Let a member email everyone in their own league, within a daily cap you set.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Off by default. Turn it on under **Settings → Club Settings → Member emails to a league** with **Allow member league emails**, and set **Sends per member per day** (0–20; "0 turns sending off without losing the setting."). Clubs migrated from CCM that had the page arrive with it on.
  * These emails **never use broadcast credits**, even when credit metering is enabled for your club. They do count toward your plan's email usage.
  * A member can only email a league they are in (an active registration or a team seat). The daily cap is a rolling 24 hours.
  * Members always get the new-look page; the classic view is for staff only.
</Note>

CCM's **League Email** page let a curler write to their whole league — "practice is cancelled", "who can sub Thursday". The Uplifter Curling version (`/league-email`) works the same way: the member picks a **League** (**Select a league**), types a **Subject** and a plain-text **Message**, optionally adds one file under **Attachment (optional)**, and sends. The sender is always the signed-in account; there are no free-text from fields.

**Attachments.** As in CCM, a member can attach one file, up to 5 MB: a PDF, an image (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP), a Word or Excel file, CSV or plain text. It goes to every recipient as a real attachment. The file's type is checked, so a program renamed to look like a document is refused. The file itself is not kept — CCM did not keep it either — only its name is recorded with the send.

Every send is recorded — sender, league, subject, body, attachment name and recipient counts — but there is no dashboard screen for that log yet. If you need to review a send, ask Uplifter support.

A league manager who wants to email their league uses the League Portal's **Email the league** page or an email campaign instead of this member page; the portal page has no attachment field.
