# How do I export the GNCC and USCA member files?

> Run the GNCC Format Report or USCA Format Report under Data Extracts to download your current members in the association's own Excel layout, after setting your club number and region in Club Settings.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * The **GNCC Format Report** (Grand National Curling Club) and the **USCA Format Report** (USA Curling) are under **Reports → Club reports → Data Extracts**. In the classic view they are in the **Data Extracts** group of the **Reports** list.
  * Each downloads in CCM's exact layout: the same column headings in the same order, the same sheet name and the same filename. **Excel** is the main download. **CSV** is offered as well, which CCM did not have.
  * The files list your **current members**, sorted by last name and then first name.
  * Only club administrators and finance staff can run them. You need *View Financials* (the **Curling Administrator** and **Treasurer** have it). Other staff do not see them, because the files hold every member's address and phone number.
  * Before you send a file, set your **GNCC club number** and **USCA region name** under **Settings → Club Settings → Association exports**. If one is not set, its column is blank and the report says so.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Set your association details once">
    Go to **Settings → Club Settings** and find the **Association exports** card. The card says "Printed on every row of the GNCC and USCA Format Reports (Reports → Data Extracts). Leave them blank if your club does not submit those files."

    * **GNCC club number** fills the **CLUB NUMBER** column of the GNCC file.
    * **USCA region name** fills the **REGION NAME** column of the USCA file, for example *GNCC*.

    Click **Save changes**. This card is in the new view only.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the report">
    Go to **Reports → Club reports** and, under **Data Extracts**, click **GNCC Format Report** or **USCA Format Report**. The report runs straight away and shows its rows on screen.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Download the file">
    Click **Excel** (the highlighted button) or **CSV**. In the classic view, use **Extract to Excel** or **Extract to CSV**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What is in each file

**Who is included.** Every member who is current at your club, sorted by last name and then first name. There is no league, season or membership-type filter, as in CCM.

**File names.** The Excel sheet is named **GNCC Member Report** or **USCA Member Report**. The file is named `GNCC_Member_Report_<date>.xlsx` or `USCA_Member_Report_<date>.xlsx`. The date is today's date in your club's time zone. The CSV has the same name, ending in `.csv`.

**USCA Format Report, 16 columns:** USCA - ID · LAST NAME · FIRST NAME · GENDER · STREET ADDRESS · STREET ADDRESS 2 · CITY · STATE · ZIP CODE · COUNTRY · PHONE · EMAIL · LAST ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP YEAR · REGION NAME · MEMBER CATEGORY · FEE TYPE.

* **PHONE** is the member's home phone. If that is empty, it is their cell phone.
* **REGION NAME** is your **USCA region name** from Club Settings.

**GNCC Format Report, 19 columns:** CLUB NUMBER · GNCC - ID · MEMBER TYPE · INACTIVE CODE · NAME OVERRIDE · LAST NAME · FIRST NAME · STREET ADDRESS · STREET ADDRESS 2 · CITY · STATE · ZIP CODE · PRIMARY PHONE · SECONDARY PHONE · GENDER · AGE CATEGORY · MAIL CHOICE · EMAIL · OPT OUT.

* **CLUB NUMBER** is your **GNCC club number** from Club Settings.
* **GNCC - ID** is the member's **Federation Membership** number. For a club that came from CCM, this is the number from Community Builder.
* **PRIMARY PHONE** is the home phone and **SECONDARY PHONE** is the cell phone.
* **OPT OUT** is always **N**.

In both files, **GENDER** reads **Male**, **Female**, **Other**, or is blank. **STATE** is the two-letter state or province code.

## Columns that are always blank

Some columns are always left blank, as CCM left them. The associations read the file by column position, so these columns stay in place, empty, and nothing moves over:

* **USCA:** **USCA - ID**, **LAST ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP YEAR**, **MEMBER CATEGORY** and **FEE TYPE**.
* **GNCC:** **MEMBER TYPE**, **INACTIVE CODE**, **NAME OVERRIDE**, **AGE CATEGORY** and **MAIL CHOICE**.

**USCA - ID** is blank on purpose. A member record holds one association number, and for a migrated club it may be a GNCC number. Putting it in the USCA file could send a GNCC number to USA Curling. So the number goes only in the GNCC file's **GNCC - ID**, as in CCM.

## When a setting is not filled in

If **GNCC club number** is empty, the GNCC report shows this note above its rows: *CLUB NUMBER is blank on every row: set your GNCC club number in Club settings → Association exports.* If **USCA region name** is empty, the USCA report shows: *REGION NAME is blank on every row: set your USCA region in Club settings → Association exports.* The note shows in both views. Fill in the setting and run the report again.

## Coming from CCM

CCM always printed club number **26** and region **GNCC** in these files. Here each club enters its own, so a migrated club fills in **Association exports** once after the move. Recent versions of CCM did not show a link to the GNCC report on the Reports page. It is listed here with the other extracts.
