# How do I register a member on their behalf?

> Proxy Registration runs the signup wizard for a member you pick, prices it exactly as the club site would, and creates an owing offline invoice for them.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Needs the *financials.create* permission (Treasurers and Curling Administrators have it).
  * The desk prices the registration exactly as the club site does: club, option and prize fees, automatic discounts (early birds included) and tax. The total you confirm is the invoice total.
  * The result is an **Unpaid** offline invoice for the member; record their payment on it afterwards.
  * Works in both staff views. In the classic view it is CCM's **PROXY SIGNUP TOOL FOR ADMINS**.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick the member">
    Go to **Registrations → Proxy Registration**. Under **Who are you registering for?** search with **Search members by name or email…**. Rows show date of birth and member number; **No login** marks curlers without an account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Run the wizard">
    The same steps your members see run for that curler: leagues (including a league's individual sessions, where the league is sold by session), options, releases (typed acceptance; drawn-signature waivers are excluded) and custom questions (the custom questions step appears only when your club has some). Use **Change member** to switch.

    The league list shows the same reasons the members' wizard does. A league that is **FILLED**, at its **LIMIT REACHED** (the desk does not add anyone to a waitlist, so a full league with a waitlist reads **LIMIT REACHED** here too), that the curler is **ALREADY REGISTERED** in, that does not take the chosen kind of entry, or whose gender rule the curler does not meet cannot be picked. An age or skill-level reason is shown, but the league can still be picked, so you can make an exception knowingly.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    The Confirm step shows the priced lines and total, and an **Options:** line with each option question and the answer given. On confirmation you see **Registration complete** and **Offline invoice created for the member**, with **View invoice** or **Register another member**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

If the member's account has an email address, the account holder gets the "We received your order" email, with a link to the invoice in their Members Portal where they can pay it.

## In the classic view

The page reproduces CCM's proxy screen. Under **PROXY SIGNUP TOOL FOR ADMINS**, pick the curler from **Select the User you wish to complete a signup for:** (listed **Lastname, Firstname**; the first option is **- Select a User -**, so nobody is preselected), choose **Send Email Confirmation to User?** (**No** by default) and click **Next Step**.

The classic signup wizard then runs for that curler, and every page shows **PROXY:\{Lastname}, \{Firstname} | Send Email?:\{No/Yes}** with a **Select a different user** button. In its league list, a league the curler cannot take has no link and shows the reason; a league with only an age or skill-level reason keeps its link and adds *(staff may register past this)*. Its Confirmation step lists the same **Options:** line, worded by the club's questions. It skips CCM's payment page and books the same owing invoice as the new view. The confirmation email is only sent when you chose **Yes**. You can switch views mid-registration: the curler and the answers so far carry across.

## If something is missing

If you see "This club has no public site yet — the wizard needs one to load its step configuration.", set a web address under **Website → General** first. "This member has no curler profiles in your club yet…" means the account has no curler in your club; add them from **Members → Directory**.
