# How do I set points rules?

> Fill in the points grid on the League Setup tab, row by round and division, and save it before anyone enters a result.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Fill **Win**, **Loss** and **Tie** together on any row you use — the grid refuses a partial row: "Fill Win, Loss, AND Tie for X × Y (or clear it)".
  * **Save points** re-scores every recorded game with the new values, so a mid-season change reshuffles the standings immediately.
  * A points-mode league with no matching row refuses result entry, so set at least the **All rounds × All divisions** row before the first draw.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the grid">
    Open the league, click **League Setup** and scroll to the **Points** card. Columns are **Round**, **Division**, **Win**, **Loss**, **Tie**, **Default win**, **Default loss** and **Per end won**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fill the league-wide row">
    On the **All rounds × All divisions** row enter your standard points — for example Win 2, Loss 0, Tie 1. Leave **Default win** / **Default loss** blank to use the same as a played win or loss, or enter different values for forfeits. Enter **Per end won** if your club awards a fraction per end won.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add exceptions">
    Fill a round row (say, playoffs) or a division row only where it should differ; blank rows inherit from the more general one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Click **Save points**. The toast confirms how many recorded games were re-scored.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Values are 0–99.99 with up to two decimals. Rounds must exist (create them on the Standings tab) and divisions must exist (League Setup) before their rows appear. The words round and division follow your club's terminology setting.

Also available in the classic view: the **Points Listing** screen with New / Edit / Delete and CCM's column names.
