# How do I get set up to accept payments?

> Complete the Adyen onboarding under Financials → Onboarding so members can pay by card, and what you can do before it is done.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Card payments run through Adyen. Verification (business details, identity documents, bank account) is done on Adyen's hosted pages and "typically takes 1-2 business days".
  * Starting onboarding needs the *financials.create* permission. The dashboard's **Set up payments** checklist item stays open until the account is fully **Verified**.
  * Card processing is in **US dollars** today; the platform has no multi-currency support yet.
  * You do not need a card processor to run registration: with **Pay at club or by mail** on, members register and pay you by cheque, cash or e-Transfer and you record it on the invoice.

  <Step title="Begin">
    Go to **Financials → Onboarding** (**Account Onboarding** — "Verify your business details to start processing payments") and click **Begin Onboarding**.

  <Step title="Confirm the basics">
    Step through **Confirm organization details** (address, phone), **Confirm legal name** ("I confirm that … is our registered legal business name"), **Platform fees** — read the **Platform fee disclosure** (the transaction percentage of payout and the per-transaction flat fee) and tick "I understand that the fees shown above will be deducted from each payout" — and **Terms of Service**.

  <Step title="Verify with Adyen">
    On **Review & begin** click **Begin Verification**. You are taken to Adyen's hosted verification to enter business details, identity documents for the owners and the bank account for payouts.

  <Step title="Finish">
    Back on the page the status card tells you where you are: **Complete Your Verification** (**Continue to Adyen**), **Verification In Progress**, **Verification Issues** (**Update Details on Adyen**), **Bank Account Required** (**Add Bank Account**) and finally **Verification Complete** — click **Finalize Setup** to reach **Ready to Process**.

Later, Adyen may ask for more — an expired document, a removed bank account or a periodic review. The page then shows **Verification Requires Attention** with **Payouts Paused**, and the Payouts page reads **Payouts Paused — Verification Required**, until you update the details on Adyen.

Until verification completes your public site can still go live (you will see a **Payment Processing Not Set Up** warning) and you can create invoices, record offline payments and grant club credit.
