# How do I set up ice sheets?

> Name your club's sheets once in Club Settings; every league's draw generator, Today's Ice and the TV boards use them.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Ice sheets are **club-wide**, not per league: **Settings → Club Settings → Ice sheets**. In the classic view, **Sheets** in the admin bar opens CCM's **Sheet Listing** for the same list — no league needs to be picked first.
  * Only the **last** sheet in the list can be deleted ("Only the last sheet can be deleted. Move it to the end first."), and a sheet that has draws on it cannot be deleted at all. To retire a sheet, switch **In service** off instead.
  * Sheet rows save themselves as you edit; the page's **Save changes** button is for the other cards.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Ice sheets card">
    Go to **Settings → Club Settings** and scroll to **Ice sheets** — "Named sheets used when generating league draw schedules."
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add and label the sheets">
    Click **Add sheet** for each sheet. The table has columns **#**, **Label**, **In service**, **Show on TV** and **Actions** (move up, move down, delete). Under **Default labels for new sheets** you can set a **Label prefix** and **Number ascending** so new sheets arrive pre-named.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Decide visibility">
    **In service** means the sheet accepts games; **Show on TV** puts it on your rink displays as a column. **Show sheets publicly, unless a resource sets its own Access** is one club-wide switch. It decides whether the public sees the bookings of a venue that is not linked to a resource, or is linked to a resource whose **Access** is left on **Club setting**. A resource set to **Public** or **Private** keeps its own value. Turned off, those venues are hidden from everyone outside the club, on the calendar, the Registration page and at checkout. It does not hide sheet names on league schedules, and TV boards are not affected. See [Who can see a venue's bookings?](/club/bookings-and-todays-ice/who-can-see-a-venues-bookings).
  </Step>
</Steps>

The **Label** is what members see too: the league's **Draw Schedule**, **My Teams** and **Game results** all name a game's sheet by its label, the same as the TV board. A club with no sheet rows yet shows **Sheet 1**, **Sheet 2** and so on, using the label prefix.

When you generate a league's draw, the **Sheets** checkboxes start with every in-service sheet ticked — "N of M sheets in play — the others stay idle in every draw" — so a league that uses only half the ice just unticks the rest.

## In the classic view

**Sheets** opens the **Sheet Listing**: one row per sheet with **Show on TV?** and **In service?**, and **New**, **Edit** and **Delete** on the toolbar, with up/down arrows to reorder. The edit form carries the same two switches, worded **Show on TV?** and **In service (accepts games)**, and a blank name means the sheet is named by its number. It is the same list as the Club Settings card, so a change in either place shows in both. If you are in the new view, the same Sheets address takes you to **Club Settings → Ice sheets**.
