# How do I mass edit games?

> Change the round, division or session of many games at once, or publish and unpublish ticked rows in the classic view.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Mass edit changes **Stage** (round), **Division** and **Session** — and, in the classic view, **Publish** / **Unpublish**. It does not move dates, times or sheets.
  * The change is all-or-nothing: if one game is refused, none are changed. Up to 500 games per apply.
  * **Lock** / **Unlock** appear only when a superadmin has enabled **Draw Optimizer** for your club.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Enter mass-edit mode">
    On the **Draws** tab click **Mass edit**, then click games in the grid to select them. The toolbar counts "N games selected".
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose what changes">
    Set **Stage: keep / clear / …**, **Division: keep / clear / …** and **Session: keep / clear / …**. "Keep" leaves that field alone on every selected game; "clear" blanks it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Apply">
    Click **Apply**, then **Done** to leave mass-edit mode.
  </Step>
</Steps>

In the classic view, tick rows (there is a select-all box) and use the **Mass edit** panel with **- Keep -** / **- Clear -** selects; the toolbar also offers **Publish** and **Unpublish** for the ticked rows.

The words Stage, Division and Session follow your club's terminology setting.
