# What is the League Portal?

> The to-do list and league switcher a convenor sees instead of the full dashboard.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * The portal is at `/league` on the admin address. Someone whose only admin rights are league-scoped is sent there automatically. A full administrator who opens it sees every league on **Your leagues**.
  * **League Portal** appears in the menu under your name (bottom of the left-hand sidebar) for anyone who runs a league: named convenors, holders of **Curling League Admin**, and administrators who can manage every league. The portal itself opens for the same people only: a Treasurer or Communications officer gets no link, and going to `/league` takes them to the dashboard, where they still see every league.
  * Anyone named on a league's **League managers** card can open the portal for that league when they sign in with that email, even with no staff record at your club.
  * Money amounts in the to-do list appear only to people with financial access; a plain convenor sees "curlers still owe their league fees" without the sums.
  * The portal is new-UI only — there is no classic (CCM-look) version, because CCM had no convenor surface.
</Note>

CCM gave a league admin the whole admin backend. Uplifter Curling gives them a smaller, task-focused space.

The home page, **Your leagues**, lists the leagues the person runs ("Open one to see what needs doing"). Inside a league the sidebar offers a **Switch league** picker and, under **This league**: **What needs doing**, **Who's registered**, **Teams**, **Schedule**, **Results**, **Email the league**, **Find a sub** (or **Find a spare**, following your club terminology) and **Full admin view**.

**What needs doing** is computed from the league's data and shows only what is true right now, each with a button that takes you straight to the fix:

* **N games still need a result** → **Enter results**
* **N curlers registered and no teams yet** → **Create teams**
* **N curlers are not on a team** → **Build teams**
* **N teams and no games scheduled** → **Build the schedule**
* **N curlers still owe their league fees** → **See the roster**

When everything is done it reads **Nothing needs your attention right now.** A jitney league skips the two team rows, and its **Teams** section is where the convenor builds each night's teams.

**Email the league** sends to everyone registered in that league and is limited to 5 emails every 5 minutes.
