# How do I draw a bonspiel?

> Choose the format, seed the teams, draw the bracket or the first round, and put games on the ice.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Available when a superadmin enables **Bonspiels** for your club.
  * **Double knockout** is drawn in full at once. **Triple knockout** and **Schenkel** are drawn one round at a time, and **Draw next round** is blocked until every game in the current round has a result.
  * There is no undo for a drawn round. **Redraw bonspiel** starts over and deletes every result, so draw round 1 only when the field is final.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Check the teams">
    On the **Bonspiel** tab, the **Teams** card lists every entry with Team, Skip, Roster, Entry and Division. Use **Add team by hand** for a team that paid outside the site.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick the format">
    In the **Draw** card choose the **Format**: **Double knockout (A and B events) — drawn in full up front**, **Triple knockout (A, B and C events) — drawn round by round**, or **Schenkel — every team plays every round, no elimination** (set the number of **Rounds**).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Seed and draw">
    Review **What will be drawn**, use **Adjust seeding** to reorder teams, then click **Draw bonspiel** (double knockout) or **Draw round 1** (triple knockout, Schenkel).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Put games on the ice">
    In the **Schedule** card set **First draw date**, **First draw time** and **Minutes between draws**, tick **Fill from start** to pack games from the first draw, and **Save schedule**. Games are placed on your ice sheets and appear on the Draws tab, the public schedule, Today's Ice and the TV board.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Later rounds">
    After every current-round result is in, the **Rounds** card offers **Draw next round**. Repeat until the events are decided.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Two known limits: a Schenkel bye earns the team no points, and a round cannot be undone once drawn.
