# How do Hero proposals work?

> Every change Hero drafts is a card you Confirm or Dismiss; nothing is applied until you click, and a card is never applied twice.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * A proposal card has two buttons: **Confirm** and **Dismiss**. Until you click **Confirm**, nothing has changed.
  * Cards expire after **10 minutes**. An expired card says "This action expired or is no longer valid. Ask Hero again."
  * A confirmed card cannot be applied a second time: clicking again returns the original result, and a card whose details no longer match what was drafted is refused.
  * Your permission is checked again at the moment of confirming.
</Note>

When you ask Hero to do something — move a game, create teams, email a league — it does not act. It works out exactly what would change and shows you a card summarising it under its reply. Draw generation shows a preview with fairness figures; a result shows the standings before and after; a league email shows how many people would receive it and their first names.

Click **Confirm** to apply it. The card turns to **Applied** with a green check and a toast reads **Change applied**. If something has changed in the meantime — a curler joined the roster after Hero drafted the teams, or a result was entered by someone else — the confirm is refused and you simply ask Hero again for a fresh card. If the action cannot be applied you see **Couldn't apply that change**.

Click **Dismiss** to throw the card away; it is marked **Dismissed** and stays that way if you reopen the conversation later.

Confirmed and dismissed cards are remembered with the conversation, so reopening a thread shows what was applied. Each confirmation records who clicked it.
